Analyzes and recommends emerging industry trends, expansion opportunities, including mergers and acquisitions, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, venture capital sources, internal business performance and business process improvement. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the company is appropriately and strategically positioned with analysts, investors, and all stakeholders and help to create the appropriate strategy and tactics to accomplish this positioning. May be responsible for communications with industry analysts and the investment community.
Business & Corporate Development
Plan and assist in execution of business development goals
Develop strategies and programs to keep the financial community current on company performance, goals and industry dynamics
Maintain existing IR presentation materials and develop new materials as needed
Contribute to social media efforts, as it relates to investor relations
Identifying potential organizations for merger or acquisition to expand existing product lines or bring new product lines to the organization
Developing and maintaining external relationships with regulators, and key trade associations (public relations presence)
Pursuing the development of strategic partnerships, relationships and alliances
Participating in due diligence of target acquisitions
Overseeing strategic planning processes to ensure strategies align with market drivers
2-4 years’ experience in private equity, venture capital, corporate M&A, with direct experience leading Investor Relations and Corporate Communications
Strong commitment to drug development and innovative technologies
Demonstrated extensive experience and expertise in financial modeling, analysis and research
Exceptional written, verbal and creative communication skills; including the ability to translate insight into content, create presentations, and create overall communication plans
Self-starter capable of working independently with superior attention to detail and judgement
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working effectively as part of a small team
The individual must consistently exercise good decision-making skills and independent judgment
Ability to thrive and take initiative in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
